We got back from our vacation on Wednesday night and it definitely has been back to life,back to reality. I have to admit that I've had a pretty easy week and I even got to enjoy a Mom's night out on Thursday with some of my MOPS moms. It was fun catching up with everyone.
Our last stop in Cancun was Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant and the kids were definitely wasted and worn out from our vacation. This was our very last picture in Cancun and I think it really says it all,lol.
Today was our last day in Cancun, hence the boo hoo. This vacation has been so awesome and I'm so thankful that 1. we were able to come to Cancun and 2. that we were able to share it with our kids. I could not imagine coming to this awesome place without them. They have had so much fun and Ken and I have had a blast just watching them be kids. It has been so relaxing and I hope we get to come back to Cancun someday. This place is beautiful and instead of saying bye-bye, I think I'll just say Hasta Luego....until later in hopes that we return again.
We really tried to enjoy every bit of today. Translation, we set up camp at the beach around 10 and left at 4!!
After we all showered we put on our whites in hopes of getting that awesome family pic on the beach. I toted my tri-pod and gadgets all the way here. It turned out that we forgot to pack Ken's white shirt and we did not feel like going to the gift store to purchase one because the kids were getting hungry and we were fighting the setting sun. Long story short, the pics did not turn out as we would have liked, but we did get a few out of like a hundred:-) Kensley was being a total pill, Ken was not in the pics, and etc. I guess that means we have to come back to get that "money" shot.
After wrestling with the kids over beach pics we headed to the Brazilian restaurant for dinner and it was excellent. We are going to have to go out for Brazilian food once we get home. It was fantastic and the kids loved all of the roasted meats they brought to our table. After dinner we did some last minute shopping and called it a night. We are packed up and looking forward to one last morning of room service. See you all back in the States!! Bye-Bye Cancun!! Hope we can vacation again soon!!! We are leaving with over probably 1000 pictures and lots of wonderful memories.
Right now I am listening to all the kiddos snore!! Every night they are just worn out!! It is funny how being on vacation wears them out. I on the other hand feel relaxed and energized. It's been a long time that I've actually been this relaxed. Ken and I feel great and I'm already planning our next vacation,lol!! Today we had a pretty chill day and enjoyed the beach and pool again. This evening we had Japanese for dinner and Auntie Chur-Chur would have been so proud of the kids. They attempted to eat with their chops stick:-) Dinner was a lot of fun and the kids actually enjoyed the food. Kohen even had her fair share of some Japanese cuisine. She loved the rice with soy sauce!!
Yesterday we decided to resort hop. Palace resorts has 5 different resorts in Cancun and you are able to bounce back and forth to the different resorts. We had been told that Cancun Palace had the best beach so we decided to check it out. The water was AMAZING!!! It was crystal clear and beautiful. We soaked up some sun for about an hr or so on the beach and then hung out in the pool for the rest of the day. Ken and I really could not relax on the beach because of the huge waves that were rolling in on the shore. I was afraid that the kids were going to get sucked out because the current was so strong. Once we were at the pool we could relax and kick back a few drinks. After getting our beach/sun/pool fix we left and did some local shopping and then took a taxi back to our place. We should have just showered and called it a night with room service, but we showered and went to dinner at 7:30 and all 3 kids fell asleep at dinner. It was fun trying to carry them all back to our room.
Mexican Caribbean, Cancun Palace Beach
Today we spent the entire day at the beach. It was great!!! Kohen actually napped under our cabana, while Ken and the kids played in the surf. It was awesome. Tomorrow we are going to attempt to visit Chichen Itza, shop, and of course hang at the beach.
Rain, rain, go away was the chant we all did today. We hit the beach bright and early this morning and we were not there for more than 5 minutes and it started raining. We waited it out for a few more minutes and realized it was not going to pass anytime soon. We headed over to the pool area and the kids took a quick dip in the rain and then it was back to our room. We stayed put until lunch and decided to go out for lunch, shop, and then try the beach again. After lunch it was still slightly raining so we had to scratch the beach yet again. We had some very bummed kids on our hands. However, we found a cool indoor playground and the kids were all smiles again. After they burned off some energy, I head back to the room with Kohen because she fell asleep and Ken took K&K to play another round of mini golf. After Kohen's nap we headed back to the beach. It was too cold to play in the water since it never really warmed up today because of the rain, but we were okay with not getting to play in the water as long as we were getting to hang at the beach and it wasn't raining. We got to enjoy the sea breeze, watched the beginning of the setting sun, and the kids playing in the sand. After getting beach fix, we then left to change and get ready for dinner. We ended the day on a good note and finally made it to the beach!! We are looking forward to fun in the sun tomorrow. The rain has moved out!!
Yesterday Ken was in meetings all day and the kids and I hung at the beach and kiddie pool from 9:30 to 3!! We are already sporting a tan well sort of.... The kids are all brown and I'm a little spotted at the moment. I was so on top of staying on the sunscreen with them that I slacked on some areas on me(left leg and feet are a little toasty). We loved hanging at the beach. The only down side to the beach is that sea weed is in full season and the beautiful blue water, well isn't so blue:-( Oh well, we are in paradise and I am not complaining. Ken rolled back in from his meeting around 4 and we hit the mini golf course and then around 6:30 we had dinner and the kids were DONE!!. They all fell asleep at dinner. It was an early night. Here are a few pics from yesterday. I did not take too many because my hands were pretty much full and I did not want to risk messing up my camera.

We are finally here, have had a few drinks, and are calling it a night. The kids did pretty good flying today. We had some trouble in Houston, they over booked the flight and when we checked in we did not have seats. Oh the joys of flying. We were asked to go have a seat at check in and then they would let us know if we were going to be able to board the flight or not. After a few minutes of waiting they made room for us, but it was all over the plane. Go figure!! We ended up getting some people to switch and I flew on the last room with all of the kids, while Ken sat 20 rows up. The kids were upset and crying and I was breaking out in a sweat thinking this 2.5 flight was going to seem like a 15 hr flight!! However, a nice lady gave Kensley a bag of M&M's, everyone got settled down and we took off. All 3 kids fell asleep and I got to watch a movie. Our flights were super turbulent yesterday and I'm actually glad that we did not end up sitting beside Ken because the girl sitting next to him barfed in the barf bag. Gross!! After we landed, we had a short 10-15 min van ride to the resort and upon arrival we were immediatley handed drinks and an nice cool scented towel. Now that's the life!! We were taken to our room and we are seriously 1/4 of a mile from the beach. The kids were so excited!! Ken had to head off to a reception and I ordered a snack for the kids. Ken came back and we went to dinner and the kids loved the fish taco fold overs and the Mahi Mahi. After dinner we came back to the room and we were about to crash, but Kaden had been wanting to play in the huge jet tub we have in our room. He had all of his snorkel gear ready and I said what the heck. I figured I would just bathe the kids and then they would be out for the night. I was filling the tub and I thought the water had covered all the jets, but I was wrong. I had forgotten about the jets in the back of the tub and oh my goodness, I created a typhoon when I turned the jets on!! Water seriously sprayed out of the tube like 5 foot and almost blasted Kaden off the tub's ledge. I was in full panic mode and could not get to the off button fast enough to turn the jets off. Ken threw his laptop down to help, but I had already discovered the off switch by then. Once we realized all was well except for some very soaked drapes, towels, and tile floor we were both rolling from laughing so hard! Thank goodness there was a drain in the floor. I would have been so embarrassed to call room service for a clean up.
It is morning here now and Ken has headed off to his meetings for the day and the kids and I are lounging in bed waiting on room service. This place is huge and I do not want to venture too far off without Ken because I'm afraid I will never find my way back. I can pretty much see the beach from here so I'm planning on taking the kids to the beach or the pool after breakfast.

Kohen has taken off and I'm so not ready for a mobile 9 month old!! She has spent the afternoon crawling across the living room floor. We now have to really make sure that every little thing is picked up off the floor.
Last night Kohen kept us up most of the night and after looking in her mouth this morning, I now know why. Her bottom tooth has broken and that top front tooth is coming on day.
Ken and I have been on easy street for the past few days since K&K have been at Nanu and Papu's. Kohen is such an easy and happy baby. She just goes with the flow so Ken and I have been taking advantage of Kohen's easy going attitude. On Friday night we got to meet up with Sarah and Doug at Chuy's for a yummy happy hour. Kohen just took in all the noise and people and fell asleep on the way home. Yesterday, Kohen and Ken got to have some special Daughter/Daddy time, while Mommy headed out shopping. I met up with Courtney and our goal was to find dresses for Gala at the end of this month. After finding the perfect dresses at our 1st stop, we then hit the outlet mall. It was so nice being able to shop without kids. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids to peices, but it is so hard to shop with 3 kids. After shopping, Ken met up with me so Kohen could eat and then I got pampared with a spa pedicure and manicure. After pampering it was off dinner with the Hubbs. What a perfect Valentines Day!! After church today Ken and I are hitting the mall for a few things for Cancun and then we are packing!! We are offically Cancun bound!!

Today I hosted a Valentine's luncheon/playdate and love was indeed in the air. I'm so grateful for great friendships and great playdates. It's days like this that I really appreciate the privilege of being a SAHM and getting to organize events like for the kiddos and for me because I love the adult interaction. We had so much yummy food and I've made myself sick because I have pretty much snacked all day!! The weather was beautiful and the kids soaked up some rays and burned off some sugar in the backyard. The boys, well were just being boys and the girls acutally decorated their mailboxes and made valentine cards. Here are some pics from our Valentine Day Bash:
I'm betting that Kohen will probably be full on crawling by the end of the weekend or at least by the time we come back from Cancun. She has been getting around really good by scooting and rolling, but this evening she actually crawled a bit. I was showing my Mom and Dad how she gets up on all fours, rocks, and then pulls her self back up into a sitting position. Well, this evening she decided that she liked the Nike logo on my Dad's shoe and she actually crawled over to it so she could take a closer look. It is so hard to believe that she will be full on crawling, then walking, and then oh my goodness I will be planning a 1st birthday.
Our house is so quite right now that I can actually hear the crickets chirping. This evening was the 1st time I have seen my parents in over a month. I think we actually set a new record for the longest time we have gone without seeing each other. My Mom hurt her back about a month or so ago and has now just recovered. I think I was just as excited to see my Parents as the kids were and vice versa!! Nanu and Papu were all smiles. They missed the kids and the kids missed them. Kaden and Kensley are in Nanu and Papu heaven right now. They are going to get to stay with them until Monday and then we are packing up and off to Cancun on Wednesday!! The house is so quite it is weird. Kohen is sleeping, Ken is at dinner with his boss, and I'm just listening to the computer fan run. Gosh, what am I going to do with myself,lol?? I think I'm going to kick my feet up, have a happy hr by myself, and enjoy the much needed break. Thanks Mom and Dad for giving me some me time!! BTW, Ken and I are actually going to get to go out on Valentine's Day, woo hoo!!
After a pretty low key Saturday, we finally left the house Sunday afternoon since Kaden was feeling better and we partied until the sun went down at Trenton's 5th birthday party. Tabitha threw a bash for Trenton. He had a DJ, face painting, magician, bounce house, and a train. The kids were in party heaven and had a blast!! I was so mad because I did not check my battery pack for my camera and it was dead. I did not get any pics and you know that just hacked me right off. I am going to buy a spare battery!! Sorry Tab. Ken did manage to take a few with his cell phone, but the quality stinks. Here's a few we got.

Kohen says Momma non-stop now and I just love it!!! She looks up at me with those big brown eyes and my heart just melts. It's the sweetest sound and I'm totally eating it up!!
Our little missy loves broccoli. I made a combo of broccoli and cauliflower puree and the way Kohen gobbled it down you would have thought it was pudding. I fed her 2 cubes for dinner and she wanted more. I could not believe it. I heated up a 3rd one and she ate it all!! Here's Kohen eating broccoli for the 1st time:
We ended our weekend with a Superbowl bash. It was great!! There was a ton of food, we had great company, and I heard the game was good. I love ending our weekends on a grrreat note. I've got to go to bed now because I'm actually tired!!!
This weekend has not been good for my waistline!!!The girls and I left Camille's party a little early since we were meeting the gang at Chuy's for dinner and boy was it fantastic!!! From all the chips we ate last night we probably could have skipped lunch today, but we indulged in some good ole Texas Bar-B-Que at The Salt Lick in Round Rock. Needless to day, it was awesome and I am afarid to step on the scales!!!
Kensley had the honored of being invited to Camille's 5th birthday party on Saturday. Let me tell you, this party was oh so magical and it actually felt like we were in a magical winter wonderland!! Christine, Camille's mommy was the perfect party planner and let me tell you, she is CRAFTY, with a capital C. The girls decorated snow flakes, made snow globes, played snowman, snowman, where's your hat(like doggie, doggie where's your bone), made snow,and gosh the list goes on. Haleigh came with us to Camille's party and the girls had a blast and talked about it all evening. Happy 5th birthday sweet snow princess Camille. Thanks so much for inviting us to your party. After we finished up with Anna Claire's birthday party, I came home, dropped Kensley off, headed to Sams to shop for our Super Bowl Party on Sunday and came back home to Auntie JJ, Uncle Paul, Haleigh, Reece, Gigi, and Papa Chris. Ken's family came in this weekend to hang out and visit. I was home maybe 20 minutes, said hello, and had to jet out to another birthday party. On Saturday the girls were invited to Anna Claire's 2nd birthday party. It was such a neat party and it was super special because just Kensley and I attended the party. I really enjoyed the 1:1 time with Kensley and I think Kensley did too. Kaden and Kohen stayed back with Daddy and Kensley and I feasted on yummy pancakes, butterfly cookies, and birthday cake. Sarah and Doug hosted the perfect birthday brunch and we had a wonderful time. Happy Birthday Anna Claire!! Thanks for inviting us to your party!! Here are a few pics.
