Holy heck have I had a cranky one on my hands today!! Miss Thing is in a MOOD today!!! It all started about 6:30 this morning, well actually it started before bed time last night and she is still in a bad mood. I really think she is cutting her 2 yr molars. She has been wanting to bite all day long. Just ask Tabitha. Today, I went to see one of my favorite friends, Tabitha and I got a hair cut. I was hoping my mommy time would be nice and Tabitha and I would get a chance to chat and catch up, but NOOOOO...Kensley was not having that. I spent most of the time trying to get the cape out of Kensley's mouth and her teeth away from Tabitha and I. Not sure how Tabitha managed to cut my hair with Kensley spinning the chair and acting like a pill, but she did an awesome job as usual!! Oh yeah, I know I should not be admitting this, but I'm going to boo hoo a minute. Tabitha found a gray hair and I was like, "RIP IT OUT." However, she would do no such thing because she told me 2 would grow back in its place. Well, I'm going to blame that gray hair on my kiddos. So, looks like at my next hair appt I will toss my all over dark do and go back to highlights. I'm only 30, I should not have gray hair, but hey that's why they make hair color right???? BTW, Tabitha you look awesome post baby and Parker is just too cute for words!!
Well, I better run and rest up before my little grouch wakes up!! Thank goodness she is still napping right now!!! Hopefully, she will get her nap out and will be in a better mood!! Fingers and toes crossed!!!

New song from my little singer/songwriters
Here's is the latest tune from the K&K band. It's called "Baby in Mommy's Tummy is Beautiful." This was another classic case of monkey see/monkey do. I loved seeing Kensley copy Kaden. It was really cute. I also think Daddy had some fun playing the keyboard too.
Today I felt the effects of having our house on the market. However, I'm not complaining because we would like to sell our house. We had 2 showings today and I was totally shocked. I figured it would be a couple of weeks before anyone called, but to my surprise I got a call at 11:30 and I quickly ran home and got our dog and went to Taco Bell with the kids for lunch. We then headed off to Petco to get a kennel for Hendrix. I do not want to have to come running home every time to get the dog when we have a showing. As soon as we got home and I was getting Kensley ready for her nap I got another call for a showing. So, I quickly grabbed the kids and headed out the door again. So, needless to say, poor Kensley did her sleeping in the car today and boy did I pay for it!!! Since today was our 1st day of lookers I did not want to be too picky about the timing, but going forward I am just going to have to let the realtors know I have a baby sleeping and request that they select another time to view the house if they want to swing by during nap time. Hopefully, they will understand. Well, I'm off to tidy up just in case we have more showing tomorrow.

Honey Do Weekend
The weekend flew by. I knew it would because Gigi and Papa Chris were here visiting. We had our Christmas with them when they arrived Friday night. The kids loved opening their gifts. Thanks Gigi and Papa Chris for all the cool toys.
On Saturday, we had Kaden's 2nd soccer game. We had to arrive a little early because he had pictures. I think the pictures turned out really well and I am excited for them to come in. Kaden did really well again this weekend and the Tigers rocked as usual. Since the weather is a little bit nicer this week hopefully we can get to the park and practice dribbling and kicking goals so we are ready for the next game.
After Kaden's game, Kensley napped and I stayed back while the rest of the family ran errands to complete honey do's. With the help of Papa Chris, Ken finally got all of his honey do's completed and our house is officially on the market as of today. Let's hope that I can keep up with the cleaning for showings. I know having a sparkling clean house is going to be a chore especially with a 4 yr old and almost 2 year old. Their favorite game is lets pull everything out and have Mommy pick it up:-)

Not a whole lot going on
Well, not a whole lot to report on the home front here. Yesterday, the kids and I ventured out to the Dell Children's Museum with the Hubbards and everybody in Austin must have had the same idea. There were a ton of kids there along with 5 elementary schools. Hellooooo, craziness!!! The kids played and played and played. They wore themselves out and Kensley took a super nap. Ken worked late yesterday and by the time he got home I had the kids bathed and ready for bed. I was fast asleep by 9.
This weather stinks!!! I hate the cold weather. I swear it makes me ache all over and all I want to do is eat, which is not good!!! Today was a pretty low key day. We mainly hung out at the house because it is too dang cold to get the kids out in this yucky weather. After taking Bryan's dogs out, the kids and I hit the road to meet Gigi and Papa Chris along with Daddy for dinner. However, those plans quickly changed since Gigi and Papa Chris were no where near Austin and Daddy had not left work yet. A quick drive through to Mickey D's made the kids happy and we were homeward bound. So, the kids are about to get a bath and then bed. Gigi and Papa Chris will be here for the weekend so I'm sure I will have plenty to write about on Sunday.

My eyes still hurt
Today was Janey's service and it was by far one of the hardest/most emotional services that I have been to in a long time. I knew it was going to be really difficult as soon as we walked through the door. As soon as I saw all of her pictures, the table set up in her honor with all of her breast cancer awareness stuff, her pink breast cancer hair supplies(blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron), and etc. I lost it. I could barley see to sign the quest book. Ken and I along with Courtney and Brad walked up to give Bryan and their family our condolences and that was another emotional moment. We were pretty much at a loss for word with tears streaming down our face. We all hugged Bryan and he just smiled and said, " She's not suffering anymore." and he is so right. You hate to see someone you love suffer the way she suffered. I think the hardest part of the service was to hear a letter that Bryan had written telling their story. It was beautiful and so eloquent and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. It was truly written from the heart and it showed everyone just how much Bryan loved Janey and how he was by her side until the end. It was so heartbreaking to hear how this nasty illness was so relentless as they continued to fight it. It just kept on attacking Janey's body and eventually took the love of Bryan's life away. Janey was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2006 so next month would have been the 2 year marker of her diagnosis. That's how rapid her illness progressed.
Thanks so much for all of the kind words and prayers that I have received. Janey is indeed in a better place and like Bryan said, "She is no longer suffering," but we will continue to miss her like crazy. Please continue to keep their family in your thoughts and prayers. Also, thank you for all of you who have committed to being apart of "Team Janey" The response has been awesome and it made me realize how lucky I am to have so many loving and caring friends. We are probably up to 30 plus people and I'm sure we will continue to grow. The race is going to be in Austin this year and it is going to be the 1st week in November and I will be so proud to walk/run in the honor of Janey. You will continue to get "Team Janey" updates from Courtney and I as we get closer to the race. Thanks again for all of your support!!

Not Fair
There are a lot of things in life that just aren't fair and today is one of those not so fair days. Today Janey lost her battle with cancer and it's just not fair. I can count a million reasons why it's not fair. Why should we have to say goodbye to a wonderful person/friend/neighbor who was only 45, why should a mother have to watch her daughter go before her, why is her husband now a widow, why do I have to explain death to my 4 yr old son and explain why Janey is never coming home? Why, Why, Why is the question that I have pondered all day. It is things like this in life that SUCK big time!!! I can not even imagine all of the emotions that her family is going through right now. Her services are going to be held on Wednesday and I know that will be a hard day for all. Janey is going to be missed by many and it is going to be so weird not seeing her walking outside her shop, seeing her get into her car, and etc. Please continue to keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. They will need lots of prayers and strength to get through the next couple of days, weeks, and months to come. In honor of Janey, I am going to already start thinking ahead and planning Team Janey for the Susan G. Komen race. I just checked their website and I do not see Austin scheduled yet. So, if Austin does organize a race I know Courtney and her family along with mine will be there running, walking, or perhaps dragging our kiddos since there will be 5 kids in tote by then. I know Janey will be looking down upon us smiling and perhaps too laughing because come heck or high water we will finish the race with 5 kiddos:-) If the race does not make it to Austin in '08 The Thompson Gang will be taking Team Janey to Dallas and we will run/walk with my Sister-In-Law Jennifer.

Exhausted!!
We had a really busy weekend, I've had a super busy morning, and I'm EXHAUSTED, but I'll do my best to update you all.
Thanks so much for all of you who have sent me messages and prayers about my neighbor, Janey. I know that she made it through yesterday, but I have not gotten an update on her status today. Please continue to keep prayers coming their way.
Kaden's 1st Soccer Game
Kaden had his 1st soccer game on Saturday. He was absolutely a soccer stud!! Ken and I were both so proud of him. He had the largest cheering section there. Nanu, Papu, Auntie Chur-Chur, Eric, and of course Mommy, Daddy, and Kensley all cheered him on. However, I think Nanu was the loudest!! We all had so much fun watching him play. He did really good for his 1st time playing any organized sports. However, not sure where he picked up his deer like gallop from. We were totally cracking up. He was really into the game by the second half and made some really good contact with the ball. He is excited about his next game. GO TIGERS!!!!
Here's my 21 week belly pic from last week. I'm getting quite the belly!!Build-A-Bear
We finally made it to build-a-bear on Saturday and the kids had a blast. Meet out newest additions to our stuff animal family.
Baby CakesSkateboard
Sunday we spent most of the day or should I say "I" spent most of the day cleaning!! As soon as I woke up this morning I started back at it again and I am exhausted. Why all the cleaning?? Well, our house is officially going on the market. I met with our realtor today and we are going to be listing our house this week. So, keep your fingers crossed that 1. I'm able to keep the house clean for showings, 2. that our house sells and that we make a little bit of a profit, and 3. that all of this happens before Kohen arrives!! So, wish us luck because we are going to need it. I'm now off to enjoy some bon bons and soap time before Kensley wakes up from her nap. Just kidding on the bon-bons, but not the soap:-) I'm off to watch GH.

A turn for the worse
Our neighbor took a turn for the worse yesterday. I never expected to get the call I got from Courtney yesterday evening. Without going into all of the details, Courtney said that if we wanted to go see her we better do it now because Janey might not make it through the night. Talk about a tons of bricks just slapping you in the face. My parents watched the kids and Ken and I went to the hospital. I have not gotten an update as of this morning, but I'm hoping and praying for a miracle. Please continue to keep Janey and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I know they need all the strength and prayers they can get right now.

No build a bear today and spare prayer requests
Since it is 35 degrees outside and raining, Nanu and I postponed our build-a-bear outing. Maybe tomorrow afternoon we will visit build-a-bear. Sorry there are no build-a-bear pics to post right now. Since the build-a-bear outing got postponed, we spent all morning playing with Tyler and Carter. They too changed their morning plans due to the weather so it was nice to have some company and let the kids run wild.
On to spare prayer requests. For those of you who read my blog, I am asking for a favor. If you can send some spare prayers our way for our neighbor, Janey we would be so grateful. Janey has been battling cancer for probably almost 2 years now. I might be a little off on my time line, but I think it has been around the 2 year marker. She started out with breast cancer and has been on a physical/emotional/mental/ you name it roller coaster ride since she became diagnosed with this horrible illness. Janey has been in the hospital since Saturday due to a blood infection. She has cellititus and things are not looking so well. You know it is things like this in life that just suck!! You hate to see something like this happen to such a good person. Bryan and Janey have been wonderful neighbors and have witness both Courtney and I start and grow our families. They have always been one of our very 1st visitors as each one of us brought baby after baby home from the hospital. Courtney and her family are going to go and visit her tonight and I am hoping that Courtney will have some positive news to share. Ken and I are planning our visit tomorrow. So, right now Janey and her family could use tons of prayers!!! Please send them her way!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Why God gave Kensley a big brother, test results are in, and babies galore
Kensley has to be the luckiest little girl on earth because she has been blessed with an awesome big brother. Our loving brother/sister moments can be few and far between in this household. That is because most of the time the kids are fighting like cats and dogs. Yes, I am getting paid back for all of the hair pulling, name calling, and you name it my sister and I put our parents through. This little clip brought tears to my eyes. While I was cleaning up the game room, I heard Kaden singing this song. I told him to hang tight so I could video his performance. He put on a show for Kensley and I. It was too cute. I think the cutest part was after the performance to hear Kensley running around singing the song her brother wrote for her. Kensley and Kohen are 2 lucky little girls. They will always have big brother around to love, protect, and of course pester them.
I got a call back today from the ID Doc and I am thankful to announce that the kids toxo screening came back negative. I was so happy and relieved to hear that news. However, the Doc is still insisting that we repeat the blood work in 2 weeks to be on the safe side. Thanks for all the prayers!!
Last, but not least...I am happy to announce that another friend of mine has entered the world of Mommyhood!! Yes, there are babies galore today!! Farrah and Nate are the proud parents of a healthy baby boy!! They welcomed Baby Luke into the world on January the 11th. He was born at 5:20 pm and was 7lbs and 20.5 inches. I'm happy to report that this new little family is doing awesome!!! So, those of you who know Farrah be sure to send her a big congrats!!!

Week in rewind
Wow, who hit the fast forward button on this week. Kensley went down for a late nap, Kaden is entertaining his self, and I now have a chance to update. I can't believe tomorrow is already Friday!! I also can't believe I have not done a blog posting since Monday. I am a blog addict and try to post a little update everyday, but I'm not sure where this week went. So, here's our week in rewind!!!
Monday
Kaden went back to school and had a blast. Later that afternoon we met the Hubbards at the park and enjoyed the nice weather. The kids ran wild and used some of that stored up energy!!
Tuesday
Cookies and story time:-) That's always a nice combination. We headed out to Barton Creek Mall and the kids enjoyed story time at Pottery Barn Kids and munched on some good cookies compliments of Ms. Courtney. Later that afternoon, we headed to the castle park or so that is what Kaden calls the park and met the Marshalls for some more outdoor play. I think we lasted outside for maybe an hr because it was really cold!!
On Tuesday I also found out that one of my former employees got promoted and now has my old job!! I must have trained her well. Just kidding Solange. Congrats on your new SUPERVISOR position. I know you will do a fantastic job!!!
Oh yeah, I did take my 20wk belly shot and this is what Kaden said, "Mommy, I think you are going to blow. Your belly is huge." Well, all I can do is smile and say that kids do say the darnest things!!!
Wednesday
Other than Kaden going to school, this was pretty much our errand day. So, I will not bore you will all of the details. However, for dinner I got brave and decided to meet my sister and Eric at PF Changs. I was not sure if Ken and I wanted to venture out to Changs with the kids, but we did and the kids were pretty good to our surprise. Chopsticks can be pretty entertaining and they can also make pretty good weapons. Thankfully the kids stayed entertained with them and did not get injured. Eric's sister works at Changs and gave us major hook ups on service, the appetizer, and our dessert. Kaden got to pick the dessert and he selected cheesecake. YUCK!! I'm not a fan and did not partake, but Ken was ecstatic because he loves cheesecake. Needless to say, the cheesecake was all gobbled up. Thanks Bree, Cheryl, and Eric. We had a great time!!
Thursday
I also got a call from Diana today and poor little Nolan has the flu!! So, Nolan I hope you get to feeling better soon. Sorry you are sick and did not get to make it down to see us today. Looking forward to playing when you are better. Diana...I hope that you and the rest of your family remains flu free.
On a brighter note, a former co-worker of mine welcomed twins(a boy and a girl) into the world today. I do not have all of the details yet, other than Mommy and Babies are doing fine. I do know that the babies weighted 13lbs combined. So, those of you who know Andy O be sure to send him a congrats email.
Congrats Betty and Andy. Hold on tight and let the good times roll because having 3 under 3 is going to be fun!!!
Well looking forward to Friday!!! Nanu and I are going to take the kids to build a bear to build a Valentines puppy. This should be fun. I'm hoping the puppies can leave the store naked. The last time we did build a bear the sales clerk made me feel bad for not purchasing our bear underwear so I caved and ended up with over a 100.00 in clothes and accessories.

Back to School and Illness Free
The high maintenance princess is having a snack right now so I've decided to hop on and fill you guys in on our morning.
I'm very happy to report that Kaden did great this morning when I dropped him off at his Mothers Day out program at the Y. Both Kaden and Kensley did not want to wake up this morning, but neither did I. It was 39 degrees outside and I would have rather stayed all snuggled up in bed too, but we got up, got dressed, ate breakfast, and headed out the door. I was a little nervous that Kaden would drag his feet because he has almost been out of school a month and I was a little concerned that he would not want to go back. However, he was ready much to my surprise. He gave us a hug, a kiss, told us to go pick up Nanu so they could play when he got home, and then told us bye!! So, away we went, but I have to mention that we did not go quietly because Kensley wanted to stay. So, needless to say our exit was pretty dramatic. Nothing like carrying your almost 2 year old out the door kicking and screaming.
I'm also happy to report that both of the kids seem to be illness free except for some cedar allergies Kaden is having along with Ken and I!! Yippiee!! We will take allergies over sickness any day!! It looks like Kensley's sinus infection has cleared up along with her diaper rash and pink eye. Now hopefully, we will get positive news on the toxo screening and all will be well. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we can remain illness free for the rest of January. Just starting with a short term goal:-)
I better run because SOMEONE is demanding that we go upstairs and play with her Strawberry Short Cake dolls!!

Cedar Fever, Best Buds, and Rockband!!
After a totally crazy week, we all hit the road early Saturday morning and headed to the cedar country to visit the Davis Family. As soon as we headed west of Waco and I saw all of the orange tinted cedar trees and I knew I was going to be in deep trouble because I am highly allergic to cedar pollen. About 30 minutes later, we arrived at Les and Diana's AKA Auntie Diana and Uncle Les'(I've been best friends with Diana since the 3rd grade so they are practically family) house and the fun began. As we pulled up over the hill to their house, Ken noticed an orange cloud floating through the sky and I was like OH BOY I"M IN FOR IT...that was all the cedar pollen blowing in the air. I braced myself, got out of the car, and all the sneezing, watering eyes, snot blowing, and coughing started. Seriously, I was a little embarrassed, but I could not control it. However, the suffering was worth it because the kids had a blast!!
Diana and Les live just right on the outskirts of a small town on a couple of acres and the kids always enjoying visiting Nolan and Leslie. At times, it makes Ken and I wish that we lived on a couple of acres and not in suburbia because the kids always have so much fun there. The kids love to run around, explore, and feed the pet deer across the street. The kids also have several power wheels and they go riding all over the place. Seriously, the kids played for hours outside yesterday. The kids also had fun harassing their wiener dog named Chile. So, the kids harassed the dog, the dog harassed their sleek black cat named Buster, and Buster harassed their 2 pet rabbits. As you can see their is never a dull moment!!
After we opened our Christmas gifts, Diana broke out Rockband. No, she did not get it out for the kids, she got it out for the adults kids. Ken and I are seriously hooked. I wish we had an XBOX 360 instead of the Wii. Basically, this is an interactive video game, you have a drummer, guitar player, and lead singer. You then select a song and then rock out or go on tour. We rocked some old school Police and it was a riot. Ken played the guitar, Diana played the drums, I was the lead singer, and Les got kid duty. OMG, we had so much fun. You should have seen us. We were totally acting like kids. After several hours of playing this very addictive game, I realized it was almost 6:30 and said we better hit the road. Kensley fell asleep before we even hit the city limits sign of Clifton and Kaden fell asleep before we hit Waco. Talk about a quite ride home. We got home somewhere close to 9:00 and we were able to get the kids out of the car and into their beds without them waking. Yes, that's short of a miracle and it shows you how hard they played. Ken and I were in bed and asleep probably before 9:30 so I guess we were worn out too!! My allergies are still flared up this morning so I'll probably be staying inside all day, but the day trip was so worth it!!
They better come out with Rockband for the Wii or we are going to be making several trips to visit Diana and Les so that we can get our fix. I'll deal with the allergies:-)

So, I offically hate our cat
Yes, the title may sound a little harsh, but I have never really been a cat lover due to my allergies, but somehow I have managed to tolerate our cat for the past 8 years. Ken found her as a kitten and bottle fed her and the rest was history. Generally, I do not wish ill upon animals, but if Gat was still in my care we would be minus one cat today because I would have taken her out with my bare hands today. Yes, I probably sound crazy and no it is not my hormones!! That cat is not worth all the pain she caused my babies today. The doctor visit was horrible!! The kids did pretty well with the infectious disease doctor. She was very thorough in her exam of both kids. She said from an outside appearance the kids looked great. So, she handed us our lab forms and here's where all holy heck broke loose. Kesnely bit Kaden on the arm. He started crying and then scratched her in the face. Then Kensley grabbed the door jam and cut her finger open. Then both of the kids were fighting over Nanu and Kensley was rubbing blood all over her shirt. Keep in mind that we hadn't even made it out of the infectious disease doctor's office to go to the lab. So, the lab visit sucked with a capital S!! We checked in at 11:30 and finally got out at 12:15. Do you know why it took so long?? Well, I will tell you why. My pretty petite princess has very tiny and very deep vains. So, you can imagine where I'm about to go next. Kensley's little arm is going to be a bruised mess. Kaden insisted that she go 1st and I was already exhausted by then so I said okay, let's just get this over. I held Kensley in my lap and I felt like the worst Mom ever!! Here I am holding my baby girl down while she is screaming, flinging, and crying as a lab tech is digging around in her arm trying to hit a vain. It seriously took forever and she was hysterical. She was so upset that when they finally hit a vain the blood was taking forever to draw because she would not relax. Finally, we got enough out for the 2 testing vials. So, after Kaden witnessed all of this he was crying his eyes out. He wanted Nanu to hold him while he had his blood drawn and I thought they were both going to pass out. Not sure who looked worse, Nanu or Kaden. However, the lab tech was right on the money with Kaden's draw and his took no time at all. So, we left the lab with both kids crying and me hating our cat even more than I did the day before. Here comes the kicker, I get to repeat this all again in 4 weeks if the kids tests come back negative. The doc just wants to be on the safe side to make sure nothing shows up 4 weeks from now. So, that appt will be fun fun. If they test positive, which I pray the do not, we will have to go a different route. The kids were tired, cranky, and starving so upon Kaden's request we headed to Central Market for an outdoor lunch and some playscape time. At this point, Nanu and I were worn out and I said to heck with staying on schedule with Kensley's nap time. Once we arrived at Central Market the kids were much better, ate a good lunch, and got to enjoy some nice outdoor weather. If I were not pregnant I would have probably had a nice cold beer with my burger, but since I'm pregnant I opted for 2 glasses of fresh squeezed lemonade. It hit the spot. After my very naughty lunch, which was not diabetic friendly, I got a call from my OB. Looks like all is well with me and Kohen, which was music to my ears. It appears that I am not immune to toxoplasmosis, which means that I have never contracted it before and I did not get infected by our sick a$% cat. I'm sure the kiddos will get the same good test results, but I dread the follow up appt. So, after all of this mess, I've come to the conclusion we are no longer going to be cat owners. We have more than enough on our plate to keep us busy and I would like to spend Ken's hard earned money on fun things and not on vet or medical bills!! So, needless to say, after Gigi gets Gat all better we will be looking for Gat a new home. We are going to be cat free and eventually animal free when Hendog kicks the bucket. I know I sound really bitter and cold, but that's how I feel today and I guess I'll get off my soapbox. Kensley is napping, Kaden is playing, and Nanu and I are resting. Thanks Nanu for all your help today. I could not have done it without you!! You're the best and we love you!!!

The verdict is in....we are having a baby...........................
Today our appt was at 2:30 and I finally got home a little after 5:00 today. So, after a very long day we finally got the news we have been waiting months for. Looks like we are having another
GIRL....Yep, life is about to get a little bit more dramatic!! Ken and I are totally excited. I am super excited to start shopping for baby girl clothes again and room decor. Ken is dreading the hurt I'm going to put on his wallet. Oh well Daddy, suck it up because that is life with girls..ask Papu he will tell you that Cheryl and I spent all of his money, gave him gray hair, and then we made it fall out, but we totally adore and love our Dad, he is the BEST!! So you get to look forward to having 2 little girls that will totally think you hung the moon and also a son too!!
Baby Kohen looks very healthy and everything has been accounted for, which is music to our ears. She already has quite the personality and is already very stubborn. I knew the baby was a girl when she would not cooperate with the sonographer. Every time the sonographer tried to get measurements and etc, Kohen would move away and curl up into a ball. The classic shot was when she stuck her little nose up in the air, tilted her head back, and put her hand on her head. She was telling us OKAY...I'M DONE NOW...LEAVE ME ALONE. You know, something Drama Queen#1 aka big sister Kensley would have done!!! So, all went well at my 1st appt!!! We are ecstatic and can not wait to meet our precious baby girl in May!!!
So, after that appt I went to my regular OB appt. My Doc was running behind, but I did not mind because the time was nice to absorb the good news. When I finally got in all was well. Looks like I'm up 14lbs total for this pregnancy and the doc was happy with my weight, blood sugar and etc. However, this morning Gigi called to tell us that our PITA cat has been diagnosed with toxoplasmosis. Doc is not too concerned that I contracted it since I do not clean out the liter box or etc, but I still have to get tested for it to be on the safe side and the Pedi wants the kids tested too. So, after my OB appt, I had to go to the lab to get my blood drawn for testing. I should have my results in tomorrow hopefully and we will go from there and get an action plan in place based on my lab results. So, please send positive thoughts and prayers our way for a clean bill of health.
So, I just thought my Friday was going to be free!! Well, I get to think again. We will be going to the Children's Hospital to visit the Pedi Infectious Disease Doctor. Small world, we already know her because she treated Kaden after his appendix rupture back in '06. Boy, is this going to be a fun appointment!! Nanu will be going along to help me with the kiddos when they have to get their blood drawn for the toxo screening. Wish us tons of luck because we are going to need it!!!!

Happy 34th Birthday Daddy!!!!
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Daddy. Okay, so you get the message. Today is Ken's aka Daddy's 34th birthday. The kids were so excited to give him his gifts that they made for him yesterday. They made him hand print wall plaques for his new office. The wall plaques were a hit. They were by far Ken's favorite birthday presents. We just got home a few minutes ago and we are all stuffed. We went to Pappadeauxs with Nanu, Papu, Auntie Chur Chur, and Eric. Dinner was yum-o and the ice cream crepe was WONDERFUL. Yes, I cheated a bit on my diet. So, you know what that means....I have to be super good for breakfast and lunch tomorrow because tomorrow is THE BIG DAY!! Tomorrow is our big ultrasound so there will be plenty of sono pics to share along with the gender revealing on tomorrow's blog post. Stay tuned!!! Here's some birthday party pics and keeping with my new year's resolution, my 19.6 week belly shots.

Monkey See Monkey Do
Daddy is home so I got a chance to upload the pics from the camera. So, I mentioned that we would be making some awesome birthday cards for Daddy today since we were confined to the house. Well, why did I even bother to put newspaper down?? Just though I was share pics of monkey see monkey do.
Also here is a video clip to make you guys smile. Here's the kids rocking out to the Wonder Dog theme song. I caught them dancing today to the theme song with their clothes on(Kensley is missing her pants, but oh well) and though that it would be more appropriate to share than them dancing naked to it last night before bath. The clip is a little choppy so I need to see if there is a setting on my camera that I need to adjust, but the clip is sure to put a smile on your face.

2 Pedi Vists and we are only 7 days into '08
Boy, do we know how to start the year off right. We have some how already managed to rack up 170 bucks in prescription and medical co-pays and we are only 7 days into the New Year. Go team!! All joking aside, the Pedi wanted to see Kensley this morning so off we went. We pulled into the parking lot and Kaden said not the Pedi again!! I said yep, we are here again. After a quick visit we got our prescription for her infected eyes and some really expensive butt paste because she has a yeasty diaper rash on her little bum from the other meds. Poor baby!! She should be back to normal in 3 days or less. Yippee!! So, after I quickly burned through that 100 bucks(Yes, you read that right, each prescription was 40.00 each because they are new and hence no generic and I'm not complaining because my baby girl is worth it, but a 10.00 script co-pay would have been nice) we went to Snip its and got Kaden a hair cut. He looks very sharp and handsome I must say. We then ventured on to Sam's to pick up a few things. We then made one last stop at the cleaners and then home for lunch. Looks like we will be here for the rest of the day and in isolation from playmates for a few days so no one else catches our lovely bugs. Well, Daddy should get some awesome birthday cards for his birthday tomorrow since that will be our afternoon art project. Let's see how long I can keep these monkeys in the house before they go crazy. Hum, who will go crazy 1st Mommy or kids? Well, stayed tuned. This week is a busy week, Kens' 34th b-day tomorrow, BIG SONO and OB appt on Wednesday, fun fun dental appointment on Thursday, and gosh I think we are free on Friday. Well, looks like there will be a lot to blog about.

Pink Eye and Disappointed Kids
I've got some pretty disappointed kids on my hands today. Today we were planning to celebrate a late Christmas with the Davis gang and guess what??? Kensley woke up crying and rubbing her eyes this morning. I got pretty concerned after she had been up for around 10 minutes and would not open her eyes. She just kept rubbing and crying. Finally, after a warm wash cloth she opened her eyes and they were watering like crazy. Her right eye was looking a little red. So, I called Diana and told her the bad news that we though Kensley might have pink eye. I did not want to subject her kiddos to our germs especially since Nolan starts back to school tomorrow morning. So needless to say Kaden and Kensley were bummed that we were not meeting up to play and exchange gifts with Leslie and Nolan. Hopefully we will have better luck next weekend!! Kaden was already on edge since he missed out on his play date with Nolan and Leslie and I really added fuel to the fire when I told him he could not play with Tyler. Kaden and Kensley looked like the sad little kids from Dr. Seuss in The Cat In The Hat looking out the window. They were looking and yelling out the upstairs window at Tyler and Carter playing in their backyard. They wanted to play with them so bad, but since pink eye is really contagious I knew Courtney would not appreciate our sharing of the bug if we did indeed have it. Well, my pink eye suspicions were confirmed after Kensley woke up from her nap today. Both of her eyes were really red and they now have pus coming out of them. So, it appears we must have picked the pink eye bug up from somewhere or it came from her sinus infection. Just lovely!!! So, tomorrow I will call the Pedi and keep my fingers crossed that they will just call in a script for me. I really do not want to make another trip to the Pedi for them to confirm what I already know. So, it looks like this week is going to be a fun week. Keeping the kids in isolation from other kids is going to be fun fun!! Let's hope Kaden and the rest of us remain pink eye free. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted on the pink eye saga!! Well, I'm off to bathe my naked dancing kids!!

Watch out David Beckham, there's a new scoccer star in town!!
Looks like indoor soccer season is here. Yesterday we had Kaden's 1st official soccer meeting. We got to meet Kaden's coach, picked up his game schedule, and got his soccer shirt. Kaden's team is going to be called the Tigers. We've already got Kensley saying, "Go Tigers." This is Kaden's 1st time to play any organized sports and we are super excited. He will have his own personal cheerleader aka Kensley and cheering section at each game. Yes, I will be sporting a shirt that says Soccer Mom. Kaden is super excited about playing and wanted to go get the rest of his soccer gear. So, we left the YMCA and went shopping for some soccer shorts, shin guard socks, and a new soccer ball. Our little man looks like such a stud and we can't wait until his 1st game, which is January 19th. Go Tigers!!!!!

Another day and another trip to the Pedi plus cat update
After a much restless night, I headed off to the Pedi with the kids this morning. Our 1st Pedi trip for 2008. However, the good news is that this time I only had one sick kiddo and not 2. Kensley got very little sleep last night, which also meant that I got very little as well. Kaden was super excited that HE was not having to see the Pedi. So, this was the 1st Pedi visit that we have made in over a year or so that both kids were not sick at the same time. Both kids did really well at the office and we got in very quickly, which was very NICE!! Kids and waiting rooms are usually not a good combination. Kaden seemed to nip his bug and Kensley's has lingered on for about 2 weeks now. So much for the ENT telling us we had the healthiest kids in the world. He must have put a jinks on us because after we left the ENT last Friday, Kensley's right ear started draining and drained for about 3 days. Finally the drainage stopped, but she still had a nasty cough and snotty nose. She kept pulling at her ears yesterday evening saying, "ear hurt." So, that was all the info I needed to take her in today. Well, good news is that her ears are clear and the tubes are doing their job. Bad news is that she has a really bad sinus infection and the doc could see tons of green snot dripping down the back of her throat. So, her we go again with a 14 day round of Augmentin. The doc thinks that Kensley might also suffer from seasonal allergies like Mommy, Daddy, and Brother. She said that could be the reason why it is taking her longer to get over colds and why she keeps ending back up with a sinus infection. So, after we finish the meds we are going to see if the runny nose comes back. If it does then we are to head back to the Pedi and we will see about putting her on a daily allergy medicine like Kaden.
Doc Gigi emailed us an update on Gat today. I can tell from the pics that Gat is in cat heaven. I am starting to think that Gat might have just faked her illness to get out of this household. This is probably the healthiest she has looked in months. Here the email update from Gigi:
Gatlynn seems to be doing pretty good. She is still throwing up a little bit, but for the most part, she seems to be keeping her food down and feeling a little better. She is very hungry in the morning so I mix her liver meds (liquid) and her antibiotic pill in her wet food and she gobbles it down without realizing she's taking medicine. I'm so glad that works because I don't want to have to force it down her. She is sleeping in the guest bathroom but as soon as Miss Kitty goes out into the garage in the morning Gatlynn has the run of the house. I've had them both out in the evenings and Miss Kitty just glares at her but no attempt to fight. Dr. Roger wants to know exactly what Gatlynn has before we let them cohabitate although he doesn't think it's contagious. He said they could be out together but can't eat and drink after each other just yet. That hasn't been a problem at all. Gatlynn is so sweet. She purrs all the time and loves to be cuddled. We don't have the lab results back yet. I called the office a few minutes ago and was told it usually takes 5 business days and it was sent out last Wed. I'll let you know as soon as I find out something.
Thanks again Gigi for taking such good care of Gat. I know she is in good hands and is getting all of the attention and love that we could not give to her. Before you know it, Gat will be singing you are the wind beneath her wings:-) You are her hero!

New Year's Resolution, Bluey Blues, and Big Belly
Yes, I know crazy title, but these are the topics for today. First, let's start with my New Year's resolutions. Exercising will not be a New Year's resolution this year. It is sort of nice to start the New Year off not worrying about that one. I'm sure hitting the gym would be one of my resolutions if I were not pregnant, but since I am I threw exercising out the window. I get plenty of exercise chasing Kaden and Kensley around. So my New Year's resolutions are:
1. Get caught up on scrapbooking!! I am running about a year behind and I need to get caught up so I can start a scrapbook for Baby K.
2. We also take a tons of pictures, but I have really slacked off on videoing the kids, especially Kensley. We have all of Kaden's 1st moments documented on video and it's just not fair to leave Kensley's moments undocumented. So, I promise to be a better Mommy and get more of those special moments on video. I know once these moments are gone I will never get them back. P.S. Ken, I'm really looking forward to a new HD camcorder, so if you want to give me my anniversary present early go for it:-)
3. Be sure to take weekly belly photos for the rest of my pregnancy. I know, I've already been in trouble by a couple of you guys yelling at me because I have not sent out any belly photos this pregnancy. Believe it or not, I am 19 weeks today and I just took my 1st belly photo for this pregnancy last night. Yes, I've become a slacker. I took weekly shots with both Kaden and Kensley and they both have scrapbook pages in both of their scrapbooks documenting my pregnancy growth. Don't worry Baby K. I still have 20 or something weeks to get you some photos for your scrapbook that I have not started working on yet.
So, I think these 3 resolutions will keep me busy for a while. I'm sure I can come up with some more, but why over do it:-)
So now onto the bluey blues, as Wubbzy from WOW, WOW, Wubbzy would say. Yes, I am quoting a cartoon character from Noggin, since that is about the only source of TV I get these days. If you have children, I'm sure you understand. Today we were all a little blue because Daddy went back to work. We really have enjoyed him being off for the past week and a half. Kensley turned into a big Daddy's girl on Daddy's vacation and she cried today when he left for work. We hope that Daddy is having a good day and is not too buried in work. Hurry home Daddy!! No working late today, we miss you!! Mommy really misses the help too.
I saved the best for last te he he:-), my big belly. So, here is my 1st official belly shot for this pregnancy. Kensley had fun posing with me last night. She was being so gosh darn cute. She would raise up her shirt and say baby. She is going to be such a great big sister or so we think:-) Kensley and I both had a major case of static electricity so pardon our fuzzy hair:-)

Happy New Years!!!!!
Hope everyone had a happy and safe New Years Eve and that your New Years Day is off to a good start. We are wishing everyone health, happiness, and many blessings for 2008. New Years Eve was pretty low key for us. Ken and I got a lot of work done around the house yesterday. We are busting our humps since our goal is to get our house listed on the market by mid-January. Hurray, our to-do list is shrinking!!!! Later that evening Nanu and Papu came over to ring in the New Year. We had lots of food, fireworks, and apple cider for toasting:-) Well, the firework party was put to bed as soon as it started. This was Kaden and Kensley's 1st party shut down by the authorities. The Fire Marshall drove down our street and shut the sparkler fun down due to the county being in a burn ban right now. Oh well, that didn't spoil our fun. We then took the party back inside. The Hubbards joined us inside for a while and the kids watched Under Dog. The movie was a pretty big hit for the boys. The Hubbards left around 8:30, Kensley went to bed, and my parents were getting ready to head out. So, I figured we might as well ring in the New Year early. Ken broke out the apple cider and Kaden was running around laughing and saying that he is not supposed to drink wine. Kaden had fun giving Poppie a toast, but he would not dare drink the apple cider because he thought it was alcohol. I can only wish that his childhood innocence would last forever. Ken woke me up right before mid-night and told me Happy New Year. Auntie Chur-Chur then called at midnight to wish us a Happy New Year and was like....are you guys sleeping???? My answer was yes, the preggo lady needs her beauty rest:-) Well, that pretty much was a wrap of our evening. Low key and fun. Not to mention none of us had a hang over this morning. How great is that!! Ken and I were up and already cleaning by 8:00 a.m. We had a New Years lunch with Nanu, Papu, one hung over Auntie Chur-Chur and her boyfriend, Eric. After our lucky black-eyed peas and greens, I requested that Kaden give Chur-Chur and Eric a New Years drum encore. They quickly hurried our the door. Nothing like giving your baby sister paybacks through your kids!! Happy New Years everyone!!!
